About the artist
Nyoman Arisana, born in 1989 in Bali.

Raised in a family of artists, with a painter grandfather and a father known for carving ceremonial barong figures, which shaped his early exposure to artistic practice and Balinese traditions.

Through the sustained exploration of multiple mediums alongside spiritual practice, Nyoman has developed a distinct artistic approach. His work addresses relationships between the realm of the invisible and of the visible, as well as concepts of time and continuity.

Drawing on historical references and traditional Balinese painting, Nyoman reinterprets these influences through a contemporary perspective, allowing past and present to coexist within his practice.
